Victory Gardens were just one way life was different for kids on the Home Front during World War II than it is for your students today. Children during World War II would have known about and participated directly with rationing, scrapping, radio broadcasts and more. Use the following fact sheets to help your students gain a better understanding of what it would have been like to be a kid their age during World War II.

Lesson Idea: Learn more about wartime communities by splitting up students into groups and having each group learn about a different aspect of war life and then report their findings to the class.
