So you have just one day…. If you have one day that you would like students to learn about Victory gardening then and now, the following suggestions should make for a fun and educational day:
1. Open up the day with an announcement that today is Victory Garden Friday, etc.
2. Introductory Lesson Plan.
3. Choose a social studies lesson that best suits your class and adapt it to your students’ current level.
4. Choose a cross-curricular activity about gardening through math/science/botany/nutrition.
5. As a closing activity, have all students plant seeds to take home along with a creative writing assignment.
